A’ja Wilson

Collegiate All American, Olympian, WNBA MVP

An Outstanding Athlete and Leader: A’ja Wilson is an outstanding woman and athlete, whose contributions to women’s basketball and athletics leave a lasting legacy. Her list of accomplishments includes leading the South Carolina Gamecocks to their first NCAA women’s basketball championship in 2017 while winning the NCAA basketball tournament Most Outstanding Player award. As an All-American, A’ja also won all national Player of the Year awards in 2018, as the best player in women’s college basketball. Beyond collegiate sports, A’ja has gone on to win the WNBA Rookie of the Year (2018) and WNBA MVP (2020).

A’ja not only shows a strong presence on the court but also as a leader in her community. She received the July 2019 WNBA Cares Community Assist Award for her work in the community “focusing on education for children and supporting families whose children have dyslexia”.  Her foundation, The A’ja Wilson Foundation, serves families who struggle with dyslexia. Her continued fight to help families through grants and educational services showcases her leadership off the court as well.
