Lou Cella

Coming from a family of artists and growing up in the Chicago area, Lou has been exposed to the arts his entire life. Lou studied both Fine Art and Graphic design at Illinois State University. After several years working as a Graphic Artist, Lou moved to three-dimensional art, working as both a sculptor and model fabricator with nationally known Kaleidoscope Imaging in Chicago.

Showing an increasing passion for sculpture, Lou joined Fine Art Studio of Rotblatt & Amrany in 1995 and has flourished ever since.

Lou’s focus has been on portrait sculpture and variations on the human form. His works range from extreme realism to existential creations. He prefers to move from one to the other allowing fresh ideas to grow from both areas. Some of the more notable works Lou has been involved in include: Harry Caray at Wrigley Field in Chicago, The Six Detroit Tigers, and Ernie Harwell at Comerica Park in Detroit, “Teamwork”, the steelworker memorial in Milwaukee, Mayor Kolb in Oak Lawn IL, The seven-acre war memorial park in Munster, Indiana, Carlton Fisk at US Cellular Field in Chicago, the Father Hesburgh/Father Joyce memorial at the University of Notre Dame, Barry Alvarez at the University of Wisconsin, and Clark Gable for the Clark Gable Foundation and Museum in Cadiz, Ohio.

Currently, Lou is working at Fine Art Studio of Rotblatt & Amrany as an instructor and on several new public art projects.
